” …while running obstacles – crossing a creek on a fallen tree twenty feet in the air at at full speed is due purely to my Indo Board …” – Johnny Colt
Johnny Colt is one of those rare, intelligent, and kind souls who you are just plain stoked to meet. A veteran musician, first with the Black Crows and now with Lynyrd Skynyrd, he is also a contributing writer for The Weather Channel, a loving husband and father, and a great athlete who just happens to love his Indo Board.
I initially met Johnny through http://www.instagram.com/indo_board when I saw a photo of him Indoboarding in what appeared to be a very narrow hallway which turned out to be the pathway inside of a moving Lynyrd Skynyrd tour bus. What the heck! I soon learned that he had recently surfed for the first time in his life in southern California and now had a serious case of the surfing bug. If you don’t know, surfing is like the mob: once your in – there’s no getting out. Before long, Rose, his wife, booked a trip for the entire family to come to Florida to surf with us. The kids had a blast. We all had fun.
After a day at the beach, we gathered together that evening for Thanksgiving dinner which was 98% organic by the way, watched football, challenged each other on the Slackline and horsed around on various Indo Boards.
If there is anything that I’ve learned at a deeper level within these last few weeks is that life is meant to be abundant. May you have very good health. – Georgette
Did you see #IndoBoard Man Hunter Joslin yesterday on the #TodayShow doing his guerrilla marketing tactics? In 1998, small business man Hunter Joslin officially began his business in a spare bedroom in Melbourne Beach, Florida with 10 thousand dollars he borrowed from the bank. Since there wasn’t much room in the bedroom, we’d line the rollers up in the kitchen (!!!) with good friend Lance Albers as we three meticulously placed the stickers centered on the rollers. If we were off by a millimeter – Hunter would let you know it! As the business grew, so did the cardboard boxes that contained the boards and rollers which literally took over the house. Yes, I think it’s fair to say we once lived in a cardboard box. In all sincerity, I hope that the Indo Board has brought you a sense of joy, a healthier body, a sense of confidence, and a few good laughs because, essentially, that is Hunter’s purpose despite the unconventional marketing tactics. Thank you, Tom Dugan of Eastern Surf Magazine for letting us use your photos http://

Indo Man Hunter Joslin works with Darrick Doerner. With eyes closed, Darrick makes his proprioception more acute. Hunter demonstrates Indo Board tricks and conveys some of his Indo Board knowledge that directly translates to better surfing; snowboard tips.

Indo Board Team Rider, Bethany Hamilton’s inspiring story, Soul Surfer, is scheduled to be in theatres April 8, 2011. Bethany’s story caught world wide attention when she suffered from a brutal shark attack on October 31, 2003. The surfing community as a whole, is an extremely small one, and as a world family, we all prayed for her full recovery. The good vibes and hard work payed off as we exuberantly watched again Bethany doing what she loves so much: surfing. Here at Indo Board, we are stoked to have been a part of Bethany’s rehabilitation from the very beginning, and we are tickled pink to see her story coming soon to the big screen. In this photo: Fellow surfer and Indo Man, Hunter Joslin, explains to the eager young Bethany correct surfing posture.
