The Inspiring and Triumphant Neil Edwards On His INDO BOARD

When I first saw Neil Edwards on his INDO BOARD, I thought my eyes were tricking me, but no. It was real. Not only was he balancing on his INDO BOARD with prosthetic legs, but his enthusiasm and love of life were contagious. How could anyone not smile?  Click here to see his inspiring video, and read below for his story of triumph.

“During my recovery, balance became a huge part of life. Not only with prosthetic legs on, but off as well. What aided me most in adjusting to the new lifestyle was an INDO BOARD. After I, of course, learned to walk first, next came mastering my new legs.

INDO BOARD, also known as a balance trainer, was perfect for helping me reach my goal. When I could I would attempt to balance on the board. Practice makes perfect, and that’s what it took, lots of practice. Which Allowed me over time to gain muscle fibers in places I never knew I had. The constant use of my stabilizing muscles faired for a great workout. Thus making walking each day easier and easier. Now I can run, jump, climb, and do almost anything I could prior to my loss of feet.
Thank you so much @indo_board for being the company you are and helping allow people to overcome obstacles with your product! You’ve impacted my life significantly and I’m so grateful for that. I recommend anyone trying to better themselves overall to try one today!! You can do anything if you put your mind to it!!”

Neil Edwards was in a motorcycle accident on December 14, 2014, in which both his feet were severed due to one of his tires blowing out, while going 80 miles per hour, at mile marker 366, I-75 south in Florida. Waking up and discovering he no longer had feet was not only shocking but also begun a mental challenge he thought he’d never undertake. Edwards spent 30 days in the hospital after the accident where he underwent numerous surgeries. He then spent 6 days in a rehabilitation center, following his release from the hospital, and months in a wheelchair. Within a year of the accident Edwards was walking, and on a motorcycle, again – a quick, yet undoubtedly tough recovery.
Since the day of his accident, Edwards has strived to continue to be the best version of himself possible, despite the newfound obstacles and challenges of daily life without feet. He believes anything can be accomplished with the right attitude. Edwards strives to be one of those people for others, with inspiring workouts, encouraging others to live for who they are and appreciate the shortcomings as a springboard for achieving lofty goals. He utilizes the ability to stay positive in his mind without letting negativity get in the way. When you learn to appreciate the little things, like Edwards, big things happen. All he needs are his prosthetics as he continues to chase his dreams and inspires others to chase theirs.
